Mr. Merrill
Jeffrey Baker
“What is the greatest accomplishment you could ever achieve in life? What lengths would you go to in order to achieve this accomplishment? Consider the moral and legal boundaries you would or would not cross.”
In my opinion, the greatest accomplishment I could ever achieve in life would be to have a great family and at the same time be as wealthy as Bill Gates. This goal is most likely what other people want as well considering it is the best-case scenario. I would go to such great lengths to achieve this. One thing I would be willing to do which would be morally wrong is to lie to everyone in my family and never have them find out. Another length I would go through would be to break the law on many different occasions and risk my well being just to get this position. One boundary I would not cross would be killing someone like Macbeth did in the play. Killing someone is way too morally wrong and it is a terrible thing to do considering you are taking one's life just to improve your own. Overall, there are things that I would and would not do to achieve my greatest accomplishment and there would certainly be some boundaries that I would have in doing so.
I think the greatest accomplishment any person could achieve is complete happiness. This could include a great job, big salary, good looking wife, close with family, awesome friends, and fun hobbies. To achieve this accomplishment, I would be willing to lie, cheat, not be myself and break the law. This would be risky business because you are most likely going to get caught. The risks of getting cause could cause poverty, sadness, loss of friends, divorce and family members who don't trust you. I would never hurt someone physically to achieve this goal unlike Macbeth.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest accomplishment in life is finding true happiness. For everyone the definition of "happiness" is different. For some it is becoming very wealthy and having the ability to do and get almost whatever you want. For others it is having power over others and being able to control them and telling them what they can and can't do. Also, for some it is finding your true love or being able to spend time with your family. For everyone happiness is different but if you find it then you have achieved the greatest accomplishment in life. The boundaries for happiness is that there are none because for happiness laws and rules don't matter. You would go to infinite lengths to find your happiness which is until you die because without happiness there is no point to life. This doesn't necessarily mean that if you don't have happiness then you should commit suicide, but that you just haven't found it yet.
